Guide to the help we offer

  1. We are a recognised Charity. All Counselling is confidential, and our counsellors are all trained to  the standards and with the Ethics of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
  2. You will find a warm welcome and a hot or cold drink available. The rooms we use are all light and airy, and if you arrive between the hours of 10-3pm our office staff will be available to show you in and answer any questions you have.

  4. Do not be put off is the answer-machine takes your message as we are staffed by part-time admin and volunteers. We will get back to you under normal  circumstances within 48 hours.
  5. Weekends/ Bank Holidays are not covered until the next working day.
  6. Please remember to leave your contact number and name as clearly as possible.
  7. We have a low-cost ( £15) and no-cost service (donation only) for those who qualify.
  8. We have counsellors both male and female of all kinds of ages and backgrounds trained to a high standard over 3-4 years.
  9. We take referrals from local Doctors, Health and Social Services ,etc , but in all cases the actual contact to the Centre needs to be also made by the person requesting help
  10. Fees range from: Donation only,   to  £40 per one hour  session depending on the individual counsellors who are all self-employed and have set their own rates.
  11. We do not normally offer a home-visiting service but please enquire in case of extreme disability.
  12. We offer short and long-term counselling – you may only need a few sessions to begin to feel the benefit of a one to one confidential professional relationship where your needs and issues come first.
