The Adlerian Society of Wales invites existing professionals, those in training for the counselling profession and other interested parties to join the Society. The society welcomes senior membership from experienced ( at least 3 years) counsellors from any recognized tradition e.g. Person centred, Psychodynamic etc.
The Society has Charitable Status. The main purpose of the society will be to educate both professional and non professional people in the skills and theory of Alfred Adler’s Individual Psychology, to provide counselling in the community, and to offer peer support and facilities to our members.
The Adlerian Society is based in the new Adlerian Centre at 56 St James’ Street, Narberth SA67 7DA
Senior membership costs £120 per annum (£10 per month Direct Debit) and is for professional counsellors/therapists, and health and social professionals who are members of a professional organization ( e.g. BACP) and have been practicing for three years or more. Benefits of senior membership include:
- 25% reduction off any Professional Development event
Free advertising/display in the quarterly Adlerian Newssheet and at CPD events
Free use of the Adlerian Centre in Narberth on Saturdays ( by request) as a meeting place for coffee and/ or network with friends and colleagues.
Senior members may hire counselling rooms at very reasonable rates.
Full membership costs £84 per annum (£7 per month Direct Debit ) and is either for those interested in the psychology of Adler and/or for counsellors who have completed at least a Counselling Certificate Course and who do not either qualify for or desire Senior membership. Benefits of full membership include:
25% reduction off any Professional Development event
Quarterly Adlerian newssheet
Free use of the Adlerian Centre in Narberth on Saturdays ( on request) as a meeting place for coffee and/or network with friends and colleagues
Concessionary membership costs £36 per annum (£3 per month Direct Debit) and is for students (on Introductory and Counselling Certificate courses or elsewhere) and also for OAP’s or those who are in receipt of any kind of State Benefit. The benefits are the same as full membership. |

Members of whatever category shall not use the privilege of membership of the Society for the purpose of advertising themselves as psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors, social workers or canvassers in any way through printing, or writing in connection with their personal activities or the name of the Society in apposition to their own name on writing paper, visiting card, poster etc. |

There are two ways of paying membership fees by cheque in a lump sum or by direct debit. (our financial year ends 31st March, therefore members paying in lump sum pay a pro rata amount e.g joining 1st August you pay £80 for rest of financial year)
